A Commercial Campaign to kick off the heating season

This Awareness Campaign for Ferroli ran Sept – Nov for Ferroli last year. We’ve chosen to feature it to demonstrate our HVAC knowledge and encourage those in the industry that are thinking about how to kick off the heating season to think about working with us for an effective campaign. Knowledge is everything and with over 30 years working for Heating and Ventilating customers we know we can help.

This campaign was to build customer awareness around the fact that Ferroli Commercial have a solution for every commercial application, “:Think you know Ferroli? Thing again”! To show this our concept included include images of all the boilers, boiler outputs and applications. We also differentiated the “Light commercial products” of the boiler range

Ferroli Commercial Range consist of 4 Categories: –

The Marketing campaign included on the page advertising with Trade Press, Print & Online advertising, including E-shots to databases as well as Linkedin, Instagram and Facebook paid Ads as well as Organic posts. The Trade Press selected were all verified, with audited figures and substantial audience and databases included the market-leading building services magazines trusted by building services professionals for their technical, news and feature content. The official magazine of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers The perfect marketing vehicles to reach the manufacturers, buyers, and specifiers at the centre of the HVAC industry, M & E Contractors and Building Service Design consultants.

A great Facebook campaign for Athenry Opticians

For just £600 media spend over a 4 week period our latest campaign for Athenry Opticians, based in Ireland resulted in a total of 242,000 impressions, over 4,111 Link clicks to their website, 62,689 People Reached and the cost per thousand people reached of just £9.57. We certainly got the message across and lots of interest in their dry eye clinic. The success of the campaign speaks for itself. Athenry Opticians have now booked a further 8 weeks of Facebook Paid for activity 😊

Haier Europe came to us to develop the visual and verbal tools they needed to bring the Haier brand to life in communications across their HVAC products and services in Europe.

We soon realised that building partner relationships was at the centre of Haier’s value proposition in Europe so we set about asking Haier customers what they thought of Haier and what they would like to see the brand doing in Europe. The survey was well received;

Cola Stoves: Showroom Transformed!


We were asked by Italian manufacturer Cola Stoves to launch the brand to the UK market, beginning with the design and production of graphics for their visitor showroom.

Our primary objective was to create a space that would be welcoming, stylish and visually impressive to accurately reflect the superior design and build quality of the stoves. We came up with the idea of creating room sets for the walls that would sit behind the working stoves installed in the showroom and give visitors a very real feeling of what it would be like to be in a room with that stove.

More recently we have launched Cola Stoves YouTube channel and worked with them to create three superb case study videos.

Video brings the product to life for the customer and is an easy way of explaining the benefits it offers. Our experience of producing videos, radio adverts and TV commercials means we can pre-script and storyboard your project before production begins and work with you to get your message across in the best possible way.

From its origins in 1963 as a metalworking company for the construction of heating systems, Italian company Cola is now one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of energy efficient pellet stoves and boilers.

Cola came to Sans Frontiere to help them set up the look and feel of their You Tube channel and we worked together to produce three superb case study channel videos.

Cola had the vision to recognise the potential of wood as a fuel and developed the idea of transforming the stove from a simple heat source into an object of beauty and decoration. Following the invention in the USA in 1973 of wood pellets as an environmentally-friendly alternative fuel for industry, it became clear that pellets could be used for boilers and stoves for private homes. As a result, Cola worked to develop specific products in the field of pellets

Cambridge Homecare – Help us to help the NHS

Sans Frontiere’s website team were proud to be of service to Cambridge Homecare, a specialist nurse led division of Eaton Homecare, working exclusively for the NHS assisting with patient discharge and hospital avoidance across Cambridge City and the East Cambridgeshire areas. Our team helped with a quick turnaround on the development of a recruitment site in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to urgently recruit additional health care assistants and discharge planners to support Cambridge NHS, to work in the community, caring for medically optimised patients being discharged from hospital in to their own homes.Sans Frontiere have been working with Eaton Homecare delivering search engine optimisation and website design, Google PPC and Display increasing conversions for live-in care & NHS support services.

Over 7 million views achieved on social media for Essilor, the world leader in prescription lenses

Sans Frontiere Marketing helps 100s of UK opticians reach new local customers through a partnership with worldwide lens manufacturer, Essilor

The Objective
Sans Frontiere Marketing was commissioned by Essilor (the world’s leading provider of prescription lenses) to run digital campaigns for independent opticians all over the UK who are members of the Essilor loyalty programme scheme.

The Campaigns
Sans Frontiere worked on 89 campaigns for 70 independent opticians. These campaigns typically ran for a duration of one to 8 months within a location of 3, 5 or 8km radius of each practice. The campaigns looked to raise the awareness of each practice within the local area and promote Essilor products to the correct target demographic.

The generic parameters of the campaigns were to target potential local customers within the age demographic and location of the ideal customer who has a known interest in glasses, optics or eyewear. However, each campaign was bespoke to the individual optician, with some targeting audiences with specific interests including bi-focal lenses, family eye care or difficulty with vision in certain environments such as playing sport or driving.

The campaigns predominantly featured on Facebook as many of the target audience were active on this channel and a number of opticians already had established Facebook pages. Where relevant, Instagram was also explored and used as channel for the adverts, including Instagram Stories & Facebook Stories; this proved to be a popular channel for the younger demographic, particularly those interested in the digital lenses (Eyezen).

The Results
The campaign generated over 7,000,000 views on the content whilst reaching an audience 1,500,000 highly targeted people. The campaign operated on an 11% CTR (click through rate), significantly higher than the benchmark for this industry of 1.01% (Wordstream 2019 https://www.wordstream.com/blog/ws/2017/02/28/facebook-advertising-benchmarks). The campaigns also produced plenty of engagements and people who were interested in booking appointments with the opticians. These leads were recorded individually with each practice’s bespoke campaign.

Reaching out to existing and potential new patients through social media.

Eyesite is an independent optical group with practices throughout the South. They wanted to reach out to existing and potential new patients through social media. We created a Business Page on Facebook and an @Eyesite Twitter account.

When creating the pages we wanted to ensure that the brand values of innovation, design and clinical excellence were clearly represented.  Our design concepts for the Facebook and Twitter pages were considered, so that they looked excellent on desktop, mobile and tablet devices. While the creative was unique to each platform, they were still consistent with Eyesite’s brand and the overall tone we would be using. We also created social media avatars so that their logo was optimised, not compromised.

We began posting regular updates on both social platforms, a mix of local news, tips for optimal eye health, and reasons to book appointments for eye exams and patron Eyesite. Closely monitored, we performed all the day-to-day administrative duties on both social platforms, and were able to respond quickly and effectively to patient queries with very positive results.

As engagement levels increased, Eyesite increased their social investment and doubled their Twitter activity, which had grown exponentially in a short period of time.

Social activity has become a neatly integrated collaboration between Eyesite and Sans Frontiere, with regular contact ensuring that we are kept up-to-speed on everything that is happening within Eyesite practices, all the while maintaining the strength of the Eyesite voice.

Saturday gave us the perfect weather and resulted in just over 30,000 visitors! In fact just over 65,000 over the three days!

Thanks for all you help and support in putting together a compelling creative and media campaign, which I’m sure helped our numbers this year.

The media coverage was exceptional this year, which kept us all extremely busy at the show, and we got some excellent national and regional TV, print media and radio coverage.

No doubt, we will undertake a fuller review of what went well and what could be better so we can build on the success of this year.  But for now, it is good to celebrate in a successful show!

Whether it’s creative to promote their flagship event the South of England Show or the branding for the Shows throughout the year, the South of England Agricultural Society relies on us to deliver on all counts. South of England Agricultural Society: Facebook Competition

To promote their flagship event, the South of England Show, the Agricultural Society wanted to run a competition on their Facebook page. SEAS has a very active social media presence that can already boast high engagement levels, but they wanted to spread word to a wider audience rather than only those that already liked their page.

Having recently produced a video for SEAS using footage from the previous Show, we decided to run a video competition to maximise ROI on the video and earn as many views as possible to build excitement around the Show.

Sans Frontiere created a SEAS Youtube account and uploaded the video to their channel. We uploaded the video to their Facebook page and asked users to answer a question and tag a friend in the video post – spreading the video further on the social network. The winner won a pair of tickets to the South of England Show.

The competition was a huge success – with a very small budget the video earned over 8,000 views and had hundreds of interactions.

As part of our digital strategy, the competition was an integral part of the build-up in the weeks prior to the Show. SEAS more than doubled their online ticket sales and increased their ticket revenue by 14% from the previous year.

Ecertsecure: Website, Video & Brochure

With the huge rise in online university courses, the potential for forgery and theft of education certificates has also grown and this means that increasingly sophisticated technology and strategies are required to keep the awarding bodies one step ahead. Security print company Smith & Ouzman’s innovative new web portal Ecertsecure, which offers awarding bodies flexible ways of personalising, proofing, printing and distributing certificates, provides precisely the protection needed. To communicate this clever product to awarding bodies all over the world Sans Frontiere delivered a four-minute ‘how to use’ video, a landing page and a four-page brochure.

Before embarking on this project, the most important thing was to acquire a full understanding of how Ecertsecure works. No matter how complex the subject is , we always ensure that we know what we’re talking about!

Ecertsecure is actually easy to use when you know how so we used our design and copywriting skills to produce a succinct A4 four-page brochure and a dedicated landing page branded with an eye-catching image that made it clearly definable against Smith & Ouzman’s other products.

The key to the success of the campaign was the production of a four-minute ‘how to use’ video that could be viewed both on the landing page and on YouTube. Armed with our thorough understanding of how Ecertsecure works, we produced a storyboard and commissioned the production of the video from a trusted supplier. Very close liaison throughout the process ensured that the final cut perfectly summarised everything potential customers needed to know about the product and how it could protect both their students and their reputation.

Passione Bags choose Sans Frontiere marketing for thier UK launch

Passione Bags is based in Italy, where they create handmade, genuine leather bags and accessories.

They wanted to start selling their products in the UK and enlisted Sans Frontiere as their agency to assist their digital strategy.

Sans Frontiere reviewed their English language website by providing effective copy and optimising product pages, improving their navigation and user experience.

Working with Passione Bags, we created profiles on Facebook and Twitter and delivered their social media strategy to a UK audience and began promoting Passione Bags through a digital display campaign.
